Interior architecture, built to the line.

From Italian workshops to New York homes. Since 2008, LDLICF Contract has brought the craft of Europe, mostly Italy, into New York's finest homes. Marble cut from the same quarries that supplied Renaissance sculptors. Cabinetry shaped by family workshops that have perfected their trade for generations. Metal and glass finished with the precision of Swiss, Austrian and German makers. We import it, we build it, and we install it, working side by side with New York's stores, showrooms and general contractors. From a 1,000 sq ft apartment to a 15,000 sq ft residence, one team carries every piece from the Italian workshop to your front door, and makes sure it fits perfectly once it's there. Europe's craftsmanship. New York's standards. One team since 2008.

Confidence in an execution partner isn’t won with a sample board. It’s won the day the shop drawing survives contact with the site, unchanged.

Single point of accountability

One team carries design, fabrication and installation — nothing gets lost moving between subcontractors.

Material access

Sourcing and finish libraries most shops and GCs cannot open.

Built for the scope, not around it

Structured for whole-house projects where sequencing, not skill, is what usually breaks down.

Ethos

On dressing, structure, and where a house becomes a room.

In 1860, the architectural theorist Gottfried Semper argued that a building’s meaning lives less in its structure than in its dressing  the surface, the material, the thing the eye and the hand actually meet.1 Interior casework, panelling and finish are the direct inheritance of that idea: the layer where a floor plan stops being a drawing and starts being a room a client actually lives in.

Note1

Gottfried Semper, Der Stil, 1860–63 — the theory of Bekleidung (dressing) as the origin of architectural expression, not its decoration.

Most of what gets specified at that layer never survives contact with a construction site intact. LDLICF Contract treats the dressing of a room with the same rigor as its structure — so the material the architect chose is the material that gets built.
